Video: Mary J Blige, Taylor Swift, Christina Aguilera, Sting, Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock And Keith Urban Perform At “Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief”

As the night went on, the talent only got greater at the MTV sponsored “Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief.”

Mary J Blige, Taylor Swift, Sting with The Roots all gave performances from either New York, Los Angeles or London.

The night featured some one-of-a-kind mash-ups like the Sting/The Roots collaboration on Driven To Tears, Beyonce performing her single Halo (with lyrics changed to reflect Haiti) with Coldplay star Chris Martin on the piano, and a special acoustic performance of Lean On Me by the trio of Sheryl Crow, Kid Rock And Keith Urban.

It was probably a performance by returning diva Christina Aguilera that really moved people. Keeping her voice controlled and tender, she gave a chill educing rendition of If You Lift Me Up, with Linda Perry on piano.

See the first batch of performances by Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, Shakira and John Legend

Christina had the best performance! I don’t know why she was at number 6 at EW’s list & was even behind Beyonce, I mean Lift Me Up was better than revisions of the son g Halo in which words completley lack something…. substance.

Christina’s performance was beautiful. Made me cry.
