Picture this: an artist is having a hard time getting her groove back musically. She’s not just any artist, she’s kind of a huge deal. Her last album sinks faster than the Titanic from the Billboard 200 chart. She has this remix album that may or may not save the project. And then, she enlists Ne-Yo to work on one of the songs. The chances of the project being saved just skyrocketed!
That totally long rant describes Mariah Carey‘s plight and possible saving grace in the form of her newest single, Angels Cry featuring the Grammy award winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo.
In the video to the gorgeous ballad, Mariah sings out her heartbreak in the rain. But get this: she has clothes on! Ne-Yo also makes an appearance in the vid being his usual dapper self.
Angels Cry is pulled from Angels Advocate, the remix album to 2009′s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, being released in March.
