Several of today’s hottest stars united at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards for a tribute to the late, great King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who died suddenly in June 2009.
Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Michael’s pal Smokey Robinson all took the stage to sing MJ’s Earth Song. The song is taken from his album 1995 album HiStory: Past, Present and Future and it was to be featured in his London comeback concerts in a stunning 3D clip.
With the 3D video clip playing behind them, the singers–namely Celine and Carrie–did a great job singing along with Michael to the moving song but the tribute portion seemed entirely too short.
Later, Michael’s two eldest kids, Prince Michael and Paris Katherine, accepted his lifetime achievement award.

They all did a very good job, but Jhud and Celine seal the deal for me.
i loved the tribute to MJ. Celine was great as usual and so were the others.
Great dress and legs, Celine!
Celine was PHENOMINAL! She was the only one that sang with passion and rage like Michael questioning the things that the song is questioning. Usher? Get off the stage! Shameless ego all over the place! Yuck! Smokey? Not his song! Carrie and Jennifer were “good”, slightly above “decent” for me. It was Celine that brought it home for me! Wow! What a voice!
