The beautiful video follows three different stories of hardship, all expressed in the lyrics of the song. A boy in foster care smiles at Carrie, who is passing by in a taxi, as he goes to yet another home; a young mother and her daughter currently living in a halfway house smile as they pass Carrie after filling out a job application. Carrie smiles back at them all as if everything is good for her, but she’s on her way to a hospital to say goodbye to someone special. We learn everything, even life, is just our temporary home.

This is such a beautiful video and message. My dad passed away recently and before he passed this is one of the words he gave to me was that this was a temporary home for all of us and that he was going to his permanent home and would see me again someday….
