Remember when Justin Bieber filled in for an absent Chris Brown to duet with Jordin Sparks on their smash hit “No Air”? Remember how much your ears hurt afterward? Well, we’re not trying to start a rivalry or anything like that, but, uh, take notes JB.
David Archuleta stepped in for Breezy to perform “No Air” with Jordin Sparks today (February 3) at the Jordin Sparks Experience event in Miami, Florida, and showed everyone how it should be done.
The performance was clearly a bit unrehearsed, but Archie was still ready. His powerful voice soared over his verse and blended perfectly with Jordin’s. And unlike Bieber, he felt no need to overdo it or try to out-sing Jordin. OUCH! Sorry…flashback.

David Archuleta is all class, and would never try to outshine his host/hostess. Jordin and David sound so great together – I hope we hear more of them together in the future.

You know, I love both Jordin’s and David’s voices, but I wasn’t sure about them dueting. Now I hear that I was wrong. Hope they do their very own duet someday, because they sound great together.

I really like this. Jordin and David are way talented and should definitely do a song together. Justin Bieber is not in their league. I don’t care how many times he tells the story of how Usher and Justin Timberlake fought to sign him.
Someone please wake up Jive and let them know that we need a David/Jordin collaboration (and tour!). Not only are these two talented but they are terrific role models. I adore David! (Bieber pretty much represents everything that is wrong with the music and entertainment industries now).
They sounded GREAT!! Their second performance that night was just as good if not better. Jordin and David are two very talented artists with “HUGE HEARTS”!! They are AWESOME teens – the New Generation!!
Really hope they do more things together, charity wise and artistically.

Sick of Beaver kid. Did he hit puberty yet? So disappointed that Usher is behind him. Usher could have found someone who can really sing. To be honest, anybody can sing Beaver’s songs with simple lyrics and rhythm.

This was fantastic!! Had to go listen to Jordin with Justin Bieber and couldn’t even listen to the whole thing. I base it on the fact that he is still you but no one can sing like David Archuleta. He overwhelms me every time I listen to him. He is such a remarkable singer with such control. Outside of the fact that I think he is so cute and actually I can even say he is sexy!!
