After a long trip, the 2010 Olympic torch finally made its way to Vancouver, and crooner Michael Buble was on hand to participate in the relay.
Thousands have carried the torch, including news anchor Matt Lauer and Arnold Schwarzenegger, but the moment was particularly moving for Buble as a native Canadian. “The last six or seven, eight years as I’ve gone around the world, the first thing I’ve always said is I was Canadian,” Buble told the Canadian Press after his go with the torch. “It’s emotional, I’m shaking. I mean, I’ve got goosebumps and I’m a guy who doesn’t get nervous for a lot of things. I don’t get overexcited by too much but it’s going to be hard to sleep tonight.”
The opening ceremony of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games begin today (February 12) at 7:30 EST.

Wish I was there to shake his hand… I would love to meet him someday. He looks very happy to be a carrier of the torch and I think he is great Canadian.
I agree…Schwarzenegger carrying the Olympic torch? I am sure a lot of actual Canadians would have liked to have had the chance to have that honour.

I was very happy to see Michael Buble carry the Olympic torch. He certainly deserved the honour. Does anyone know if Michael J. Fox carried the torch. He’s another great Canadian and how brave he is. I too believe that Schartzenegger (can’t spell his name)SHOULD NOT have carried the torch; what did he ever do for Canada??.
I was there standing at the corner waiting for Michael Buble to run by and thought I would get a great picture of him going by but they put no barriers like they did for others and the crowds overwwhelmed him and the only 2 guards that were there. I got to see him 2 feet away but it was like a stampede the people around him went crazy the 2 poor security guards were trying to protect him from being crushed it was ridiculous so my picture didnt’t turn out. I was so dissapointed but at least I did see him close up. I was very proud that he got to carry the torch. Thanks Michael you are an amazing singer and performer I love the way you work with the crowd.

I have to say that I can’t get enough of his face (that would look better shaven, just my opinion), and I’m sure he took caring the torch as a great honor. Just to add, he looks great in anything he wears, especially a black tux with silver tie, it brings out his best features: eyes and that gorgeous smile.
