Singer/songwriter Evan Taubenfeld scored himself a holiday hit with his song “Merry Swiftmas” last year. In the song, Evan gushes without shame about his perfect Christmas gift: the one and only Taylor Swift.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we at Neon Limelight got to thinking about Evan and his adulation for the Grammy-winning country cutie. “Merry Swiftmas” lauds the reasons why Taylor would be the ultimate Christmas present, but we wanted to know what would make her his perfect Valentine.

- 1. She writes songs! What could be better than a valentine I could make music with? I’ll bet I wouldn’t even get in trouble for all those late nights in the studio.
- 2. She’s a hopeless romantic. Her songs and lyrics lead me to believe she’s gotta be as big a romantic as I am so I know she’ll appreciate all the things I’d do.
- 3. I’ve already made her smile once, so if things get really bad I can just whip out “Merry Swiftmas” again since I know it works.
- 4. She’s famous, I imagine getting a reservation at the newest nicest cool restaurant won’t be a problem (but I’ll still be paying, I insist!).
- 5. Last but not least, blondes have more fun…
