Video: Lady GaGa Pays Tribute To Alexander McQueen In Brit Awards Performance

Lady GaGa changed her plans to rock the 2010 Brit Awards and instead offered a more subdued performance in memory of fashion designer and friend Alexander McQueen, who died last week at the age of 40 of an apparent suicide.

With a statue wearing McQueen’s signature lobster-claw shoes erected behind her, GaGa performed a stripped version of her latest single “Telephone,” before launching into a more sonically upbeat “Dance In The Dark.”

GaGa would sweep the BRITs, winning in all three categories she was nominated in, including International Female Solo Artist, International Breakthrough Artist, and International Album of the Year. She gave a big shout out to her fans for their love and support in her speeches. “You are the most wonderful fans in the whole world,” she said.
