- Music is my love, my passion, my life! I couldn’t imagine a world without music. It brings people together, creates memories, lifts people’s spirits and is also a great means of escapism and feeling free. At the age of 7, I learned the piano and flute and I’ve always been surrounded by music. My fascination and love for singing, writing and dancing only grew and grew as I got older.
- When I was young at school, I used to sneak into the big assembly hall to play the grand piano so I could write songs and sing. I wasn’t allowed to be in there unaccompanied so I got told off quite a lot! I also got my whole class to learn a dance I choreographed with a friend to He Wasn’t Man Enough For Me by Toni Braxton. It was hard work keeping everyone in order but I just loved it and it didn’t turn out too bad!
- I’m a very “homey” family and friends girl that likes nothing more than an intense game of badminton! My favorite sport to play.
- My debut single, Right Here, was written by producer/songwriter Mark Feist, British songwriter Wayne Hector and myself. We wrote it in London where I’m from and it’s so special to me, I love it and I hope everyone will love it too. It was actually the last song written for the album. The lucky charm!
- My forthcoming album, Love In Stereo, has been a real collaboration between Mark Feist and myself. We are so proud and passionate about it and equally love all the songs. Each song has something truly special about it. When creating the album, it was a very natural organic process that happened. I had a studio set up in my parents house back in England that I had been working in for a few years prior to meeting Mark, where I’d write my songs, create ideas, lay down tracks and record vocals. I’d been really honing in on my songwriting skills and focusing on who I was as an artist so when I flew out to work with Mark in LA, I was really excited to show him what I’d been working on. I took my laptop and played him the songs I had and when I did that was it! As soon as he heard them, we spent the next 2 weeks finishing and recording them down. I then flew back to England and as soon as I got back in my studio, idea after idea kept coming out. I was so inspired that I had found my musical match! So I recorded them and sent Mark over the song ideas one after the other and with each one he was like, “Yeah! That’s a Smash! Let’s finish that!” I was on a roll and just wanted to get back out to LA to finish the record with him. I signed to Mark’s independent label, Real MF LTD, and in 3 weeks the album was done! Working with Mark Feist has been a dream come true, he really has let me express myself as a singer/songwriter and this album really is a true representation of who I am musically as an artist. I am truly grateful to him for that. There’s only a few special people you meet in the industry that instantly you feel a connection musically and it’s effortless. This has been by far the most effortless and enjoyable experience! I am so proud of and I am grateful everyday that the stars aligned so that Mark and I were able to collaborate and create the music we love. Nothing would make me happier than to touch people through my music in the same way music touches me.
