Avril Lavigne in "Alice (Underground)" - vevo.com
Avril Lavigne has come out of her musical hiatus to deliver “Alice (Underground),” the lead single from Almost Alice, the soundtrack to the Tim Burton-directed, Johnny Depp-starring live-action Alice In Wonderland remake, in theaters March 5.
The video for the song was premiered by Vevo.com, and, like the movie, it’s a dark and creepy take on the classic story.
Avril falls down a rabbit hole where she meets some of the well known characters from Wonderland, including Depp’s Mad Hatter — well, not exactly. Their appearances are spliced in from the film. A determined Avril does everything in her power to return to the real world, and succeeds.
Almost Alice is in stores March 2.
