Lil Wayne has eight more days before he begins serving a year prison on attempted weapons possession charges, and he’ll enjoy them by getting closer to his fans on Twitter.
The rapper and Young Money Records man in charge joined the micro-blogging community early this morning and quickly had his account verified. “I’m super new to this twitter sh*t but wudup tho,” he wrote in his first tweet. “Follow me biot¢h…8 days of freedom.”
Weezy has extra days to tweet thanks to a delay granted by a judge to clear the way for extensive dental surgery, which reportedly included eight root canals.
If there are no other delays, Wayne will begin his sentence on May 2.
