After officially announcing her departure from her long time recording label home, Sony Music/Epic Records, saying singer/actress Jennifer Lopez is coming off of a pretty rough week would be an accurate statement. She might have extended the roughness into the weekend with a pretty poor appearance on Saturday Night Live as the guest host and musical performer last night (February 27).
Following perhaps the dullest SNL opening monologue of recent seasons–where the best material J-Lo could find was spoofing her once large entourage–she continued the night on delivering unfunny skits and weak live performances.
Signature high energy performances from the star took a back seat to off key, dreary performances of ballads taken from her scrapped-then-resurrected upcoming album Love?, that will now be hitting stores this summer via her new, undisclosed label.
she sounded ok to me..better than i expected some bad areas yes, but not terrible..better than Ciara, Taylor n them in the first video..
the second video she sounded off though lol..

i luv jlo as an artist, an actress, and of course her lines of perfumes n clothin n stuff. but im not really feelin her new songs. they r boring n kinda dont make any sense sumtimes. i’ve nvr liked her ballad performances but i do like her old up beat style. she needs to go bak to that.

I don’t think either song was bad… boring, but not bad… I think her husband’s having a negative effect on her music because he’s boring. When she was dating Sean Combs, she seemed more in her element musically and actually seemed to be having fun.
am ersonally a stron fan off her am a drag queen n i impersonate her in many many cities across the usa but i dont like these songs they are terrible not her style in music she needs to stick to the older jlo up beat …not everyone can sing a slow song…but much lov to u jlo stay with the up beat mami

She has improved drastically with her live vocals but I do agree with Dakota. The new songs she performed are reminiscent of Mark Anthony and his boring ballad style. Her vocals weren’t perfect but I imagine the vocals on her CD will not let us down. As for the style of the material it self, who knows? I wish her the best.

Im sorry but Jlo’s singing was not good-obviously shes not that much of a good singer because they should be able to adjust to any type of form of singing;maybe thats why her record label let her go…Her singing was almost as bad as Adam Lambert’s performance at the awards.She seems nice but i personally think shes a better actress than a singer…sorry J

I like J.LO, but personally I never thought she was a good singer. I thought she was a better actress than singer. The type of songs she performed in the past did not require true singing talent. She did techno and up beat songs. She is getting older now though and those type of songs really would not suit her anymore. I think that she was lucky to have had a singing career (like many others b/c the majority of singers in the limelight today cannot sing but have good producer), but it’s time for her to let it go and focus more on one of her other business ventures.

I beg to differ, both songs were good songs, her voice was off pitch at times but overall very well performed. I can’t stand hatters, my daughter that does not even like her music said she thought the songs were great!!!! Quit putting her down, fools like you will always take time to put peoplr down because you feel like s..t. I like J-lo and Marc, to hell with those who think they are not good together.

It was bad…all of it. Her singing, her skits, her hosting job. Horrible. I felt bad for her.
I enjoyed the whole show I think Jlo did a great job loved the we are the world skit and the whole telemundo thing along with the spoof on the latin soap skit.
The songs were different, but props to Jlo after all she is 40 very adult lyrics very diff then that shoe song. So she was pitchy on the first song, which happens to lots of artist when they sing live.
Snl has not been this funny since the run up to the elections, and they could no longer make fun of Palin

THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT COULD DO BETTER. I EXPECT A “PROFESSIONAL SINGER” TO BE ABLE TO SING. THIS WAS TERRIBLE. HER PITCH WAS AWFUL, HER TONE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED, PLEASE STOP SINGING!!!!!!
