Adam Lambert - NBC
Jay Leno has been back on the Tonight Show for two nights now and his musical guests seem to keep getting bigger and better. For his March 2nd show, he enlisted the help of American Idol season 8 breakout star Adam Lambert.
Lambert built anticipation for his performance early on with teasing tweets to fans first having them guess what song he would perform and then following up on how the show went shortly after taping.
“Leno was soooo much fun! Tune in tonight! Wait till you see the high glam we served!!”
High glam might have been an understatement. Super dramatic, smokey eye makeup blended with glittery accents lent its self well to the song he would perform, Sleepwalker, from his debut album For Your Entertainment.
W O W !!! It’s nice to see the old Adam, not so feminine gesture tonight. I like it better…GREAT performance once again, Nice band!!

And he’s not always feminine.. If you buy his record you’ll see he has something for almost everyone..

Good choice Jay , Adam is the best now in music, once you listen to him , any song with his signature and you are charmed by his voice and his interpretation. I’m not agree with those who said Adam provoc scandal , media and homophobs are creating this scandal. I love Neonlimelight because had talking exclusive about the Adam’music. That’s why we love Adam.

I love “Sleepwalker”. It was one of my faves when the CD came out due to the searing guitar solo. Loved it on Leno but why cut out Monte? Note to Leno: More Lambert next time! Also, really loved the Bollywood inspired outfit. When is the solo tour?
This Leno performance is EXACTLY why Lambert is the real deal – in that he can still blow it out the box even WITHIN the confines of being concerned about being more PC and “cautious” in a performance. His U.S. So You Think You Can Dance performance was like that – more cautious – but still so quietly incredible. He only needs his vocals to stun us, in a very very good way. I LOVE the rest of what he gives us, but he only NEEDS his vocals – how many current entertainers can say that? This frickin guy is almost better live than he is recorded, how many current performers can say THAT?! And anyone missing a rock edge from the FYE cd, check out any number of his performances from the past few months, you will NOT be disappointed. I hope this Lambert performance on Leno reaches some people who say “Yeah, I’m starting to get it…” and they check Lambert out further. You don’t have to love the whole Lambert package to enjoy what he has to offer us – which is sooo much vocally and musically. Non-Fans should buy the FYE cd and give it a try, I don’t think they’ll be disappointed.
I am so thrilled with Adams performance last night…I may be 74 but I love this 28 year old and his music…I play the cd in my car all the time…He looked like a star last night and he was one….His outfit was fab…Can’t wait to see him on AI, and sure his dress will be great….Leno seems to really like Adam also…so many different ages like his singing, never know what you will get…Sorry, but I missed the girl, she brought light to the set…and she was great player…..Your wonderful, keep up the good work….
Sleepwalker is one of my favorite songs of Adams and he killed it!! Blazing vocals, I love his album=all of it. There isn’t one bad song on it, how rare is that? Can’t wait to see him on tour!!!!
everything about this performance is PERFECT!!! I hope Adam will always perform this way, I prefer his Rock edge.
