John Park, Jermaine Seller, Michelle Delamor, Haeley Vaughn - Michael Becker/ FOX
There were no real surprises on American Idol tonight, as four more singers were sent packing, leaving only 16 left to fight it out for their space in the top 12. After kicking things off with a horrendous group performance of the Black Eyed Peas‘ “I Got A Feeling,” the business of eliminations got underway.
21-year-old John Park, who made guest-judge Shania Twain swoon beyond comprehension at his audition, was the first to get his walking papers. He was weighed down heavily by John Mayer‘s “Gravity” during Tuesday’s male performance night. Jermaine Sellers got similar feedback from the judges on Tuesday, and also saw himself getting cut. Sellers could probably blame his slick mouth as much as his weak performance of “What’s Going On” for his elimination. He often talked back to the judges and rambled on pointlessly. Tonight was no exception, but all was forgiven with his final words: “Everybody needs to go out and get a onsie.” (Sellers proudly showed off his one-piece pajamas in his pre-performance package Tuesday.)
Curly-haired cutie Michelle Delamor just couldn’t find her voice. She tried making Creed‘s “With Arms Wide Open” a smooth R&B ballad, but she failed to connect with the song — or America. 16-year-old Haeley Vaughn, on the other hand, had a connection with America for her bubbly personality and backstory, but she didn’t have the pipes. Her painful rendition of Miley Cyrus‘ “The Climb” had many voters running away from their phones in search of something to cover their ears with rather than dialing in to save her. Her even more excruciating farewell performance of the song proved America made no mistake.

atleast you was not mean with it. john park for life :)
I guess America don’t like the black & asian people. Wow seeing them together is really bizarre.
