The Black Eyed Peas clock a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with their latest single, “Imma Be,” but the big story this week is that Rihanna reign that just won’t let up.
The pop phenomenon scores her 14th top 10 single with the island-flavored “Rude Boy” from her sensational album, Rated R, reports Billboard.
Previously tied with Beyonce, Rihanna comes out on top as the female artist with the most top 10 Hot 100 hits since the beginning of the 2000s. She ties now with Ludacris overall, and trails her mentor Jay-Z, who has 15.
Beyonce will likely catch up to Rihanna within a week’s time, though. Her duet with Lady GaGa, “Telephone,” currently sits at No. 12 with digital sales and airplay picking up quickly.

Woo Hoo! Rihanna is amazing! I have a gut feeling that “Rude Boy” will be #1 this week or next week. It’s currently #3 on itunes and will surely be #1 worldwide overall. I thought “Bad Romance” would go to #1 because it has much more potential than “Telephone”. This could be Rihanna’s 6th #1 Single and she will be on top of Beyonce.
I sure hope that song don’t get up to the top 10 next week. I’m tired GAGA AND BEYONCE! Either way it don’t matter though cuz Rihanna’s going to take her ass out on number 1s in a matter of 3 weeks give or take. Plus when she releases another song it will be bye bye Beyonce! lol then she will be tied with Jay Z.
Um… Y’all do realize that it’s a new decade right? It seems kinda random to start from 2000 cuz didn’t Beyonce have top 10′s before 2000? Don’t they do these things by decade? Cuz otherwise it wouldn’t be relevant for today.

@nikkdraw: I think this chart battle only counts Beyonce’s solo career top tens and number ones. Beyonce started solo in 2003 (or 2002). Rihanna’s career began in mid-2005. I think it’s fair. Destiny’s Child has many Group awards that should only be counted for the whole group.
