British newcomer Taio Cruz explodes on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this week to earn his first No. 1 single with his debut track, “Break Your Heart,” featuring Ludacris.
Thanks to huge sales of 272,000 digital copies, according to Nielsen Soundscan, “Break Your Heart” makes a monstrous 53-1 jump and breaks the record for the biggest leap to No. 1 by an artists’ debut single since Kelly Clarkson claimed the record in 2002.
This week’s second big chart story belongs to next week’s battle for No. 1. Rihanna‘s “Rude Boy” continues to heat up, climbing from 8-4 with digital sales booming and radio airplay being at an all time high. But country trio Lady Antebellum, who currently sit at No. 2 with “Need You Now,” might bring on an upset for the pop star.
This week’s top ten singles according to Billboard:
- Taio Cruz featuring Ludacris – Break Your Heart
- Lady Antebellum – Need You Now
- Young Money featuring Lloyd – BedRock
- Rihanna – Rude Boy
- Black Eyed Peas – Imma Be
- Ke$ha – TiK ToK
- Train – Hey, Soul Sister
- Jason DeRulo – In My Head
- Lady GaGa – Bad Romance
- Ludacris – How Low

Haters are gonna be really mad at Rih. She scores another top 10 single from a supposed ‘flop’ album.
