Usher - OMG
With the forthcoming release of Usher’s much delayed sixth album, Raymond Vs. Raymond, here comes the first international single, “OMG.”
The Will.I.Am featured and produced track has the five-time Grammy winner “oh my gosh”-ing over a woman at a club. It’s love at first sight as he sings, “I fell in love with shawty when I seen her on the dance floor, she was dancing sexy, pop, pop, popping, dropping, dropping low.” Borrowing a line and making the track reminiscent to dance reincarnations of Ready For The World’s “Let Me Love You Down,” the mellow, club track is all but insured to make its rounds on dance floors across the world.
Not quite sure how Usher fans will respond, as the song isn’t the best showcase of the crooner’s smooth and soulful vocals. His delivery is more in line with the Black Eyed Peas frontman than his own signature tone. Nonetheless, if there’s anyone to turn to in terms of global hit-making and chart domination, who better than 2009’s hitmaking architect himself, Will.I.Am?
Raymond Vs. Raymond is due out in stores March 30th.
