Out & About: Adam Lambert Meets “Original Glam God” Boy George In London

Adam Lambert and Boy George - Getty Images

One of this generation’s most glam stars, Adam Lambert, met the glam legend of the past, Boy George, yesterday (March 20) at the Merah Club in London, and it was, well, a glam sight to see.

Lambert and the former Culture Club singer posed together at the event to celebrate the launch of George’s new single, “Amazing Grace,” both decked out in fancy hats and glorious eye makeup.

The meeting obviously went well. The two new buds didn’t hesitate letting the world in on their admiration for each other. “Adam Lambert is lovely, we met tonite. He’s a beauty!” George tweeted. “And very normal in the best possible sense… Adam was the highlight!”

Adam returned the love: “I’m honored to meet u tonight! U are one of the original glam gods! Such a treat! on top of your royalty u were so sweet.”

Adam is looking fierce as always! It’s cool that he met Boy George.

  2. Sue says:

Is “glam” just a euphemism for “gay guys that like to wear makeup but not in a drag kind of way”? Adam’s gotten so WeHo since Idol. I feel like mainstram pop was ready and excited about having either an openly gay star that dresses conventionally or a straight one that wears costumey makeup, but that a gay who wants to wear makeup is just too WeHo to last the long term, except with the Idol groupie die-hards. And there weren’t enough of those to save Taylor Hicks or Clay Aiken. Sad because under all the makeup there’s so much talent.

    • @Sue says:

Of course your mind is too small to wrap around the concept that a openly gay performer can be glamrock. Where in the rule book does it say that for rockers to be successful, the straight rockers must dress up in glam and the gays ones should dress as boring as John Mayer?

Leave WeHo out of it. Even they complain about Adam’s makeup because they’re so busy listening to Michael Bubble and opera music that they can’t even begin to phanthom the spirit of rock and roll.

    • cherlyn says:

If you truly loved Adam Lambert’s singing the make up wouldn’t matter. That is just a detail. If you bothered to read or hear his interviews you would see what a truly nice individual he is. He expresses his art through the clothes he wears, the venue he is at and the song he is singing. This is who he is. I can’t even begin to understand how him wearing make up is a negative. It just boggles my mind because he is so artistic and talented. I savor it. Glad that I won’t miss out on this beautiful man’s art over such a minor detail in life.

    • B. says:

I don’t know what ‘WeHo’ means, but I’ll take it over ‘HoHum’ anyday!!

      • Tagrid says:

WeHo = West Hollywood – the section of Hollywood that’s young, gay or not, “bohemian,” lotsa clubs, music, OTT and fun. Adam WAS WeHo way before he went on AI – and will always continue to be. Unfortunately now he’s so recognizable that he can’t just enjoy the clubs without being mobbed.

        • B. says:

          @Tagrid,

          Thanks. Makes sense.

Now I’m even more confused as to why @Sue has issue with the WeHo thing!

          ??

    • Jenn says:

Guess you never heard of David Bowie or Lou Reed or Poison… Glam is style!!! Not about gay or not gay. Adam is a performing artist and loves to go Glam in his costume choices. He dresses down in his day to day life (jeans, leather, tee shirts) and I love his sense of style. He is gorgeous and MEGA talented. Japan, China, Australia, Canada, Eurpope – they get it. Hope the US pulls thier heads out of the proverbial you know what and gets it soon too. Combining amazing talent and performing artistic flair and all kinds of crazy costumes are rocking the world. Why should only females get to do it??? Why should artist have to leave the US to express themselves? Adam Lambert is getting huge and I for hope the US can embrace our Glam, Pop/Rock Star. He is remarkable!!

      • B. says:

        Well said @Jenn.

I am always amazed (not in a good way) at the level of thinking by some people. Adam is extremely aware of his surroundings and venues when he dresses. He dresses for effect when out, comfort when relaxing. Some people do not and choose not to see the difference! I think his imagination far exceeds mosts artists today. It’s evident in his outward appearance, song collaborations, lyrics, and in the ways he speaks. I truly believe a lot of the naysayers just don’t know what to do with him and because it’s easier to criticize, they take the low-road.

In this day of cookie-cutter-jean-t-shirt-plaid-sneaker-one-style-hair-wearing-no-range-same-song-style-singing-lip-synching-boring-interview-giving artists,Adam is a like a glittery breath of fresh air!!!

    • Slick says:

@Sue— You’re not speaking for general public but for yourself. As you probably know who Boy George is, he has been embraced by American audience since the 80′s. His make-up and his gayness didn’t bothered anyone who enjoyed his music. David Bowie has been doing it since the 70′s, as well as Freddie Mercury. Elvis dyed his hair black and Michael Jackson wore guyliner. Adam has enough talent and chops to equal these greats. So, open your mind, close your eyes and enjoy his music. After all, it’s the music where all these greats won everyone’s heart. I assume Adam’s style/looks will evolve with time. Taste is a subjective thing and you can’t make everyone happy. It’s best to be who you are.

    • Tinalvsdogs says:

What does Taylor Hicks have to do with Adam & Clay? He’s not gay!

  3. Jenn says:

Love, love, love that second pic. I think out of his 1001 different looks that is my favorite. Love the fedora that glitter drop by the eye the whole look. Glad to see Boy George just released a new single. He was about as big as you can get at one time. He was an international sensation with The Culture Club.

  4. Jenn says:

@Sue….the old folks home called. You left your teeth on the night table.

  5. Sue says:

Jenn, no that’s you. Aren’t most of Adam’s fans older women, like 40+, 50+?

    • Anonymous says:

Sue you are the one sounding like an idiot. Why don’t you go and hang out on Kris’s site or David’s site or whoever you like. Adam is not your thing, You don’t have the imagination to appreciate someone like an Adam Lambert.

    • Marie says:

So, Sue, sweetheart, how old are you?

I’m asking because your attitude says child but your name says old.

    • Jenn says:

Adam’s fan base consists of all ages and both genders. My husband is a huge fan after seeing him perform live. We are a couple in our 30s. I know kids that love him and grandmothers that love him. He has fans from all over the world and of every age range so please don’t stereo type.

    • Elbea says:

Sue, you are Wrong. ADAM’s fans consist of ALL AGES. Also, go to YouTube to see with your own eyes all videos of ADAM’s fans welcoming him in Canada, Australia, Singapore, Japan recently ! Get out of your nest !!

    • BumperTopper says:

      Um… I’m only 17. And a huge Adam fan…

    • rea says:

adams fans at any age-al over the world asia and europe lots of fans any age.

  6. MTDark_Angel says:

@Sue – LMAO! Obviously you are not a fan. It would be best for you to read this to better understand Adam. If you still don’t get Adam after reading this…well there is option to stay away from articles about him.

Sharing this Ann Mason articles with others online. It is a very well thought-out piece. To all Adam fans, read it!!! To non-Adam fans, read the article too, it might give you a perspective on who Adam is. No harm in reading.

@ MTDark_Angel: Thank you for posting this wonderful link to Ann Mason article. For the first time someone actually does realize who ADAM is & what he is about. Wonderful read! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!

  8. Peta says:

    @Sue

Thanks for the biggest laugh I’ve had this weekend.

Perhaps you would like to revisit this site and anything to do with Adam Lambert when you know the first thing of what you’re talking about.

  9. roz says:

Except Adam is Boy George flamboyant , Freddy Mercury voice, Elvis Presley sex appeal and a Rock Star all mixed in one. Just when you think you have him figured he changes, and you see another side.

  10. B. says:

    @Sue,

If you were a ‘true’ fan you would know that his fanbase is very diverse. While it’s true ‘middle-aged women’ make up a huge part of his fanbase, babies, tweens, teens, young adults and seniors love him too! Paisely, the 15 month Baby Glambert couldn’t get enough of Adam. MuchOnDemand in Toronto hosted mad-for-Adam teens and young people under 30. The Bugis Junction autograph signing in Singapore saw mostly young MEN and WOMEN gather by the hundreds to get a glimpse of him. Fantasy Springs in Indio,CA – 60/40 ratio women to men, hosted more seasoned to senior fans.

So you see @Sue,your theory is incorrect and your attempt to categorize the age and gender of Adam’s appeal has come to a screeching halt!

  11. B. says:

    @Sue,

Oh, I forgot to mention Isabel Paquette. She is one of Adam’s oldest fans. She’s 89 years young!!

    You were saying?

    • Marie says:

      B

Ivy Bean in the UK is 105 years old and supported Adam since AI.

      • B. says:

        @Marie,

Wow! I did not know that! Just more proof that age ‘ain’t nothin’ but a number’ and has zero relevance when it comes to Adam’s appeal!!

  12. Cathy says:

    SUE

Please don’t even pretend to be appreciative of Adam in any way.

Adam’s fans have seen so many of your type, bitter fans of the “winner” damning Adam with feint praise, bit still you all carry on as if Adam’s fans were born yesterday.

The very fact that you even mention Taylor and Clay in the same context as Adam shows how low you actually rate Adam. Exactly how much international attention, never mind success, outside of the obligatory Philippines, etc, did Clay or Taylor achieve? Mind you, that’s more than Kris Allen who ended up having to have tickets for his Singapore show given away.

Still, do feel free to carry on embarrassing the object of your affection even more than he was already embarrassed by unjustifiably winning and by all the rejection and ridicule from the industry and media that he wouldn’t have had to endure had his desperate, pathetic and two-faced kith and kin not engineered his victory. What goes around comes around.

    Well done!

  13. Lisa says:

    @Sue

You are so ignorant. Have you ever heard the legendary Glam-Rock band “New York Dolls”? They were straight buy totally looked like drag queens! http://fashionphotographyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/newyorkdolls.jpg

” I feel like mainstram pop was ready and excited about having either an openly gay star that dresses conventionally or a straight one that wears costumey makeup, but that a gay who wants to wear makeup is just too WeHo to last the long term ”

So it would be alright for a straight man to wear make-up and costumes but not for a gay man? That’s just “WeHo” (whatever the hell “WeHo” means).

Please stop pretending to give a flying one about Adam and his talent. Your homophobic views have no place in the 21st century and the rest of the world outside of your country, particularly the UK, certainly doesn’t want to know about them so stick them where the sun doesn’t shine.

  15. PSILU says:

    Sue
The very fact that you used the term WeHo shows what unenlightened, backward, uneducated, speck of dust on a flea on a weasel’s back, trailer-trash you are.

Keep supporting your Krisses and Dannys. There’s no chance that they will ever be successful outside of the US so you can have them all to yourself. Enjoy!

  16. Sonja says:

Now that we got Sue out of the way, she appears on every Adam article, BAHAHAHA…I am happy Adam got to meet Boy George, I hope he gets to meet David Bowie too..I am thrilled that we FINALLY have some performing artist coming up in the world..the guitar singin, stand there blowing into a mic is getting old..Rock on Adam…

Twenty years apart but together ……………… two great voices, engaging and interesting personalities, and beautiful men and beautiful souls.

  19. lilia says:

It would be better for Adam, if the photos, where Adam is with Boy George are not publicised. Adam, please, do not make a laughing-stock out of yourself! Be natural, be beautiful as you are! We all love you for your talent, mind, physical beauty, intellect. Please do not lower yourself to the level of idiots!

    • terie says:

@ lilia: Why do you want these photos of ADAM w/Boy George to not be published? ADAM loves to get GLAMMED UP & go out and have FUN. The UK is accepting of this fact & doesn’t fall apart if a celebrity decides to be himself & NOT what his supposedly “FANS” think is acceptable. Dressing up & wearing make up does not DIMINISH ADAM’S SPECTACULAR VOICE or BEAUTIFUL PERSONA in any way shape or form. If you are a TRUE fan then just RELAX and let ADAM have fun …. his work ethic will not be threatened by it but unfounded apprehension from his ‘overly protective’ fans will.

    • Debo says:

What? Lower himself to the likes of Boy George? Get a grip

  20. Sue says:

I know the truth sucks. But it does no help to shoot the messenger. Later.

    • terie says:

@ Sue: I think the MAJORITY RULES judging from these posts. I suggest you take your soap box to another corner … you’re DONE here!

    • B. says:

      @Sue,

Messenger of what? Messengers usually have a…..um…..message! The only thing being shot(down)is your ‘glam/WeHo’(?)theory.

And yeah the truth does suck! It’s the TRUTH that narrow-mindedness still exists and that SUCKS!!

    • Lynn says:

Sue makes a good point in her original post if you guys weren’t so ready to trash anything at all that sounds like its the remotest criticism of Adam. I love him and Sue probably does too. You guys think that if someone doesn’t love every outfit, every feather, every ounce of makeup that Adam wears, then it means that that person is homophobic and anti-Adam. I hated the outfit he wore in Japan with the skintight pants, the 12 inch spikes, etc., but not because it necessarily made him look gay but because taken altogether, it was just too much. Like someone else said, I don’t want to see him ridiculed for looking ridiculous. He makes the focus his appearance rather than the great voice he has.

      • B. says:

        @Lynn,

What constitutes ‘too much’? Too much for you? Obviously there are people out there who think Adam Lambert is doing it’ perfectly’!

Now,let’s talk about ‘too little’! Honestly, some artists have zero imagination! I don’t bother with them because I’m not interested!!!

I don’t think Adam is worried about being ridiculed. I think he worries more about people who judge others so unfairly!!

        • Lynn says:

You need to learn the difference between having an opinion and making a judgment. What constitutes ‘too much’ is if its too much in “my” opinion–not your opinion or anyone else. My twin sister and I have had several heated discussions because I think she wears TOO much of the wrong kind of makeup. I don’t love her any less. I’m not judging her. She couldn’t care less what I think and neither does Adam or you. You know why? Because as Adam would say, “it ain’t that deep”.

          • staciegirlie says:

            @Lynn,

Adam’s outfit was right at home in Japan. Are you aware of their culture? Doesn’t sound like it. They love their entertainers to wear outrageous outfits.

A little research goes a long way.

            • Anonymous says:

I don’t need to know Japan’s culture, Australia’s culture, or what kind of outfits they like on Jupiter. I did not care for it. And I don’t plan on researching every topic that comes up regarding Adam before I state my own personal opinion. Somewhere buried beneath all the foundation, studs, and sequins is a handsome man that I enjoy seeing from time to time. OK? Is that alright?

  21. harleyD says:

I didn’t bother to read through all of this because I just don’t have the time to waste. But I did read enough to see a lot of misinformation from people who have no idea.
Lambert is hysterical, pretty much like Boy George, funny and forgettable
But I have to say that Hicks doesn’t need any saving, hes doing fine, he is not a one trick pony like so many others and there are many ways to succeed.
Broadway has him laughing all the way to the bank and his merchandise sells well there and he fills the house at his own shows. He doesn’t have to resort to cheap tricks hes a solid performer.
And that darling Sue, is the truth. Bank on it.

    • terie says:

AND YOUR COMMENTS HARLEY ARE JUST AS LAUGHABLE & FORGETTABLE!!!!

    • @harleyD says:

I think the problem w/ Taylor Hicks is that while he had showmanship, he doesn’t have the same work ethic and knowledge of the industry and promotion that Adam does. Same goes w/ Clay Aiken. He didn’t put the right songs on his CD.

  22. Jenn says:

Adam is mega talented and gorgeous. Over time, many prejudiced people will adjust. But Adam is never going to please everyone and why the hell should he. Art is aethetic and part of the mystery and joy is that it is personal. Those who don’t like Adam or his style, leave it. You don’t need to try to go on every article about him professsing your persepective and trying to be ‘right’. If you don’t care for him, go support someone you care for. The growing number of those who do like Adam Lambert won’t change their minds because of you. Life is short, find those things you love and let others find theirs.

  23. Karen says:

I’m an Adam fan, but I’m dissappointed he’s associating himself with someone like Boy George. Boy George not only has been bitchy to all kinds of people, but was sent to jail for handcuffing someone to a wall and beating them with a chain. Does Adam think that’s okay?
I thought he had higher values than that. Just because you wear makeup doesn’t allow you to violently assault other people. Very sad about this.

    • B. says:

      Nice try @Karen,but I don’t buy your ‘I’m an Adam fan,but…..’!

Why don’t you ask Adam if he thinks what Boy George did, served time as a result and has since moved on,is OK with him? You’ve already criticized his values,so I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t care what he thought anyway!

      And the makeup/violence thing! Whaaatttt???

  24. Liz says:

    I like cheese.

  25. claudia says:

Sue :I don’t know what are looking for here where are coming those who love Adam , really . To spread hate? that make you better? Adam is loved all over the world . If you are curious where Adam is loved enter to statistics on the comment to Adam’s video and you will see America, South America , Asia ,India, Africa , Canada and all Europe . Did i forget something? Why do you believe Adam is loved?
I am from Europe and i say you why : is a huge talent with an angel voice , an outregeous performer that i never meet , has a total connection with the audience
is a beauty verry well dressed , as Paula said has the whole package to be a star.
I recomand you to look video from Fantasy Spring Whole Lotta Love and if you still dont like him you sure have a problem. Why do you believe VH1 recorded his first unplugged with Adam ? For his voice and that say all and for the high quality of his album.
And if you still dont like’it go where you are happy , don’t deserve Adam make you unhappy!!!!!!!!

  26. Lea says:

I think it would be a shame if Adam eventually went for a makeup line without doing clothing too. He is so good at it. Looks like so much fun to dress up. I want to do it too!

    • B. says:

      @Lea,

I think Adam should ABSOLUTELY do a clothing line!! He is putting his own stamp on Glam fashion and doing it ‘perfectly’,in my opinion.

  27. Matt says:

What a wonderful opportunity for Adam. He met one of the people who influenced his music and experienced a pass the torch moment. Although Boy George is releasing a new single (listen to it, it’s really interesting) his day as a young pop star are over and he certainly made it clear he likes Adam and supports his music. Boy George even sent a tweet to an online music writer who asked about Adam. Boy George suggested this writer check out the youtube videos of Adam because Adam has musical chops. This kind of endorsement from an artist who has been in the business for more than two decades and has multiple number one hit songs, certainly won’t hurt Adam.

  28. Sue says:

March 21, 2010 at 12:16 pm, @Sue says: “Leave WeHo out of it. Even they complain about Adam’s makeup because they’re so busy listening to Michael Bubble and opera music that they can’t even begin to phanthom the spirit of rock and roll.”

Yeah, because he’s playing into a stereotype. Every gay district in the country has performers that dress and sound pretty much like Adam. His fans probably don’t realize that because they’ve never been to one.

    • @sue says:

Sue, if every Gay district has singers who sound just as good as Adam, where are they? I don’t see anyone else on the charts.

  29. B. says:

    Oh @Sue,

    I see you’re back.

    I only have one question.

What are you trying to say??????

  30. @sue says:

I’ve been to a gay bar before.

I think the most stereotypical stereotype is the frightened, quiet, trying-to-fit-in-w/everyone-else-even-if-it-means-pretending-I’m-straight, or the let’s-pretend-we’re-more-uppity-than-you-attitude who cannot appreciate rock music such as Led Zep, Van Halen, Motely Crue, Dokken, Cinderella, Faster Pussy Cat or David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust).

    • Sue says:

I know you didn’t mean this way, but in your attempt to stand up for what you believe is individuality, it comes across like you don’t have a lot of respect for gay people unless they’re flamboyant. Gay accountants shouldn’t have to wear makeup to be seen as individuals.

      • B. says:

        @Sue,4:34p.m.,

I appreciate the ‘slight shift’ in your response to @sue. It sounds like you might be trying to understand the gist of the response.

Let me ask you. Do you think Adam would wear his ‘OTT Australia Mardi Gras spike and glitter bedazzled cod-piece outfit’ to meet the Queen (of England) or would he select one of his many beautiful tailored suits that he has worn for other venues? I think your argument lacks logic. Adam Lambert KNOWS HIS AUDIENCE and he wears and adorns outfits accordingly.

Do you honestly think it’s important if a gay accountant wore makeup or not? As long as they added and subtracted professionally! I don’t think it matters if they find ‘the money’ with or without makeup!!

      • @sue says:

I guess in Sue’s “ideal” world of performers, everyone should dress exactly like Danny Gokey, Kris Allen and John Mayer? Right, Sue?

Adam has the RIGHT to be a GLAMROCKER if he so CHOOSES to be just as any straight dude has the right to be a GLAMROCKER if they so choose.

      • @sue says:

BTW Sue, Why are you comparing rockers to accountants? Here’s what I don’t respect about the gay community. They like to throw their own under the bus, at times. And they also want equal rights, yet they will not give anyone of their own, like Adam, the privelege of being themselves without whining about it making their community look like a stereotype. Frozen by fear much?

Go look up the Cure. Learn the meaning of GlamRock.

  31. @sue says:

God, Michael Bubble bores me so much. Glad I don’t have to live in a box of self-imposed standards just to make OTHER people around me feel more comfortable.

@Sue…move to Russia or some other Communist country where there’s no freedom to be an individual.

    • Trallo says:

Well well well, don’t stereotype. I do live in a Communist country but I also appreciate Adam’s talent and support him in every way.
Just the fact that there are so many homophobians in America made me realize there is no pradise. How lucky I am to live in my own land! Most importantly, the majority of us know that our country needs improving but sadly many americans still think they live in perfect world and the whole world needs to be saved by them..

Love ADAM dress up for occasion everytime ! He is always very fashionable ! ADAM is soooooooooooooooooooooooo Gorgeous !!!

    • ianaleah says:

Yup, and London is known for avant guard men’s fashion, Adam should have a blast. He loves fashion, and we get the benefit cuz he looks better than great in clothes with his good looks and perfect physique. There is a hugh men’s fashion industry in the UK, and Adam will be right at home in those clothes.

  35. ianaleah says:

The ‘glam god’ was David Bowie, not BG.That was 10 years earlier and also the first time ‘Glam’ was used. And today, we have Adam Lambert, and the title’Glam Rock Sex God’ was bestowed him by Rolling Stone Magazine.I think bill Kailick of Tokio Hotel could be called ‘Glam’ as well, and maybe Adam will meet w their band when he is in Germany next week.

    • tracey says:

I was about to say the same thing. I hope Adam gets to meet Bowie while he is in London; and Matt of ‘Muse’ too.The other guy he mentions is Bill of Tokio Hotel-if they aren’t on tour, maybe he can meet him too. It would be a great way to end his promotional tour.

  36. B. says:

I’m hoping…and I’m going to throw it out there…that maybe, perhaps, crossing fingers, that Adam…on the next leg of his UK visit…will hook up with Queen and do some kind of concert!

I know that Brian May has expressed his admiration for Adam. It’s not that far fetched, methinks!!

  37. ianaleah says:

    I second that :)

  38. earlzagurl4u says:

Thank you, have an enjoyable day.

  39. me says:

    In cased this was missed…
in response to some saying Adam is only in news negatively..and not enough.

“Actually, he only seems to get major news, when he is doing something the disparaging and aggressively critical public wants to jump on him negatively for, and then try to discredit his talent, for not conforming to mainstream. They remind me of sharks, circling, waiting for blood.

When he is doing good deeds or singing at performances in the peak of his talent, and god forbid, people are liking him, it *rarely* makes the News.

    Australia greeted him with affection.
    Singapore was delighted by him.
Japan Adored him. look it up
    Canada embraced him
    New Zealand respects his talent.

His music is charting all these countries, yet America wants to be backwards and vile…. you know our country can be so malevolent and biased, our priorities are so misconstrued, its a wonder how we go positively forward and progress….. oh wait a minute we haven’t.

      @me,

Great insight. It’s true. When Adam shows his ‘uber-theatrical’ or ‘colourful imagination’ the detractors (and media) come out in full force in a negative way! I have yet to see (with the exception of a few media blogs and articles) come forward and touch on his remarkable Fantasy Springs concert, the unplugged VH1 series, and the way Australia,Singapore and Japan have embraced his talent and genuine personality!

His cd sales have been terrific, considering the global recession and free downloading era. Yet the detractors continue to demean his success based on their own agenda, and when confronted, act like victims who use vile and spew-filled rhetoric that is totally transparent and without merit!!

If you don’t like his music, buy the other guys!

      It’s not that deep!!

No need to short terie. lol
I did have quite a laugh about the work ethic remark in regards to Hicks. Except for the few months he took to record hes been on the road for 4 solid years appearing in nearly 100 cities this last year.
    No one works harder.
I very happy for Adam that he is loved in so many places. I’m sure thay all get quite a kick out of him.

It doesn’t matter about Adam’s sexuality he wanted to bring glam back, he’s an artist, he loves fashion and I love his honesty. He’s an amazing performer, the music world has been waiting for someone like Adam to break out for years as it has got really boring. He has amazing sex appeal, he’s not afraid to be himself which is why people of all ages love him. I just love his voice, I knew the moment I heard him sing he’d be a superstar, this is from a 60 year old broad.

sorry but if ur not a fan and has nothing good to say about adam get out of here. find ur idol’s site. that is clear no other american idol is as popular and will be to the whole world. i didnt see any of them travelled like adam after releasing their album. their cd sales in US doesnt really speak for itself. so that is simple adam is great most talented and most fabulous american idol… i am from hong kong. hope he will get here soon….

  43. Tinalvsdogs says:

Why are you using Taylor Hicks when you are talking about Adam & Clay?

    • Stan says:

Don’t even breathe Clay’s name in the same sentence as Adam. Clay has set the bar very high in every way. He has sold more than 7 million albums and has gone 6 times Platinum in Canada. His fans are too stupid to live.

      • Boo says:

        Nice Stan!

I’m sure even Clay wouldn’t approve of your less-than-savoury sentiment expressed to Adam fans!

There’s room in this world for both artists!

The world, however,is saturated with the spiteful likes of you.

A simple “I don’t like Adam Lambert” would have sufficed!

  44. rebecca says:

Boy George is an amazing artist, check out his facebook, http://www.facebook.com/boygeorgeofficial

  45. Michael says:

Boy George is such a sweetie and a talented one at that. Adam Lambert I do not like as people are putting gay people in his trash category that leads to hate gay bashing that is increasing.

I wish Leann Rimes would have been the American Idol producer instead of Adam.

  46. Kitty says:

  47. Miranda says:

I don’t see why Taylor Hicks should be mentioned. He’s strictly mucho macho & loaded with testosterone.

MTDark_Angel, terie, Thank you for your March comments re my Never Say Never article on Adam Lambert http://bit.ly/cG23f2

Men have worn makeup for centuries, at least as far back as nobility within Egyptian Pharaoh times. Confident men and women of all eras wear different garb to that their peers, regardless of their orientation. Personal expression is the authenticism of the soul, and an important part of day to day living. Attempting to quash anyone’s creative expression including style, is a ridiculous and entitled quest, doomed with failure.
