Video: Rihanna Surprises With ‘Rockstar 101′ Performance On American Idol Results Show

Rihanna

Rihanna didn’t feel like singing a mid-tempo song that echos lovey dovey sentiments much for her American Idol performance tonight (April 7). Probably because she’s a bad ass rock star!

The chart topping pop princess ditched plans to perform the flamenco-inspired song Te Amo for the much more fan favored, newly swapped single Rockstar 101 on American Idol’s results show.

The star gave an impressive performance dressed in an all black, form-fitting catsuit. Showing that she’s been learning more instruments than just the drums, she even played a little on her black guitar.

Rihanna was the last performer to take the stage during the shocking results show. Earlier in the night, AI star David Archuleta and pop newcomer Jason Derulo performed.

    performance was great? really?

i can easily say, that was the worst performance i have ever seen, period end of story. It sounded terrible and was only full of gimmicks, like playing 1 chord on a guitar.

if you think that was great, you are either deaf or have no idea what good music sounds like.

She really should have gone with Te Amo.
