An Animated Kanye West Battle Raps On ‘The Cleveland Show’

Kenny West - FOX

Even as a cartoon, people just won’t let Kanye West be great.

The rapper voiced the somewhat cocky animated character Kenny West last night (May 2) on the FOX’s ‘The Cleveland Show’ in an episode entitled “Brotherly Love,” which also guest starred Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson.

West finds himself in a love triangle with Henson’s character and the lovable dweeb Cleveland Jr., but he refused to be disrespected. Instead of using fists to win his woman’s affections, West uses his slick words and engages Jr. in an epic rap battle, in which he name drops Zac Efron, disgraced former presidential candidate John Edwards, and pokes fun at his own use of autotune.

The episode will tide Yeezy fans over for a while, as we wait for West’s new album, Good Ass Job, reportedly due this summer.
