Miley Cyrus wants you to know she’s not a kid anymore. She’s actually a bird — a species called Aves Cyrus — who dresses like Ke$ha and tries to sound like Britney Spears.
Cyrus just released the video for her new single “Can’t Be Tamed,” which will head up her new album of the same name, hitting stores on June 22.
Although Cyrus will swear up, down, and around that the clip isn’t about being overtly sexy or sexual, there’s no getting around the shots of thigh galore, way too much underage cleavage, and bumping and grinding.
Miley can’t be tamed, but she sure can drum up controversy.

Why does it matter if any girls do anything “much worse”? That doesn’t condone her actions. I accept that she isn’t perfect, but she needs to be careful about what kind of people she is listening to and what kind of people she is following or she ends up seriously distorting the message that she’s trying to get out.
And most “girls her age” (or girls younger than her) are not role-models for millions of young girls, like Miley is. When you put yourself in the position she has put herself in, you have to treat that position with care and not abuse it.
Regardless if shes famous or not, she is a teenage girl, and will act like one. If a parent lets their 8 year old daughter look up to a typical teenage american girl, then theres the problem right there. Just because shes famous dose not mean she needs to put on an act for society, she is who she is not what you want your children to be.
I agree with John she is just a teenager. Your children should be encouraged to become their own person and that has to be done by the parents not some teenager acting on tv and if you are concerned about how her influence will effect your children then maybe you should get to teaching your children now that what they see on tv isn’t real!!! I’ll tell you one thing when I was a teenage girl I went thru some stages that were not becoming of a good young lady but my parents helped me through it and now I am a mature adult with children of my own to raise.

I like it, fun, visually dynamic, keeps my attn and the song can fit any women when they have had a relationship either with a man or a woman that tried to change them or dominate them in anyway.
People truly need to get over it. My kid loves to watch Disney and Hannah as well. Yet, you cannot possibly expect Miley to stay Disney for the rest of her life. If other artists can be grown up at that age, I’m sure she can, too. She is not trying to sell CD’s to 9yros anymore. She is grown up and it would be freaky if she were in her 20′s still doing so.
This song is not innocent, but as you grow up things do change. If you think that 17 is too kiddy for this type of video, you may need to return to the High Schools. Kids are on a higher level these days and its not like they have virgin eyes/ears.
I think people need to listen to her lyrics and hear it. Janet Jackson and so many other child stars had to do this very same thing. Its hard for the public to let go of them as kids to see them as adults. She will soon, too, be an adult.

My kid would not have that cause I raised her better. If kids had that value in them, they would not want to wear tight clothes cause a celeb wore it, too. You have to talk to your kids. After watching her talk about the music video with Ryan Seacrest (http://tinyurl.com/27oykce), I have concluded that her heart is in the right place but her EARS aren’t. She is listening to the wrong people! She has a good, wholesome, meaningful message that she wants to get accross to people, but then she listens to her “management,” and they tell her to do something that, in the end, completely distracts from the message she is trying to get accross.
She said that she didn’t want the video to be “about being sexy”, but that’s exactly what I got from it and I think alot of other people did too. She said that she didn’t want her music video to be like all the other music videos… she wanted to stand out. But, because the video is so sexy, like she admitted, it just blends in with all of the other music videos out there. She said that she wanted people to be able to relate to it, like, people who are tired of trying to fit in and who don’t want to conform and just want to be who they are. But, I didn’t get that at all from this video. She says, describing the meaning behind the video, “I don’t wanna be in a cage; I wanna be free and do what I love.”
That makes me wonder, what is it that you love doing exactly? Being sexy? Getting attention because you’re being sexy? …I know that isn’t the case because of what she has said, though. This just all appears to be pretty hypocritical, even though, after looking more deeply into it, I can see that her heart is in the right place… she just has her ears in the wrong place.

i actually like the video. People have to accpect that Miley is growing up and turning into a young woman.
