It’s so neat to see how transparent David’s bliss is (as well as his fans’ old and new) with the turnout of the 2 book signings and back-to-back radio and TV interviews so far! Go David! True to his word (as always) – “It’s just you and me”-, reading the memoir is an intimate, uplifting experience and re-reading the book would be so worth it! David, thank you and congratulations on the success of “Chords Of Strength”!!! Mission accomplished! :)
It was an awesome experience going to see David Archuleta at Borders yesterday. I was very nervous from the start knowing I would be meeting him in a few hours. So I practiced what I would say to him once I got to him. But once I got to him, the practicing failed. And I was speechless.
The only thing that came out of my mouth was “I don’t know what to say” and he said “hmm Whatcha Say” which could have been a lyric from “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo or a lyric from “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap. Considering he knows both, it could have been any of them. =)
And we also got a surprise visit from Andrew Garcia, Casey James, and Didi Benami. I managed to get a few pictures of them too.
The thing that made it enjoyable was meeting other Archies and ArchAngels. We REALLY are friendly, respectable fans. Everyone was nice and friendly to talk too. I especially enjoyed 9 people. 4 Archies, 2 ArchAngels, a Father, and 2 little kids (one was a Belieber).
I especially loved the conversations with them. We kept imagining scenarios on what David might say when we tell him something. Funny ones was:
Fan: *Looks deep in eyes* I think of you every night before I go to bed.
David: I hope you weren’t expecting a dinner invitation.
Fan: Hi my name is Claudia just like your sister. You should love me just like your sister.
David: I think I have to go, NOW.
It was fun! Amazing. First time meeting David Archuleta was awesome, and I still can’t get over the fact that he is real. I recommend anyone and everyone to go to his signings. Trust me, you will enjoy it.

Andi,
I’m a huge, loyal fan of David. But I don’t know whether I could categorized myself as Archies or ArchAngels. Could you help me with this because it will be nice for me if I can consider myself as one of them. How can I be the member of one of those groups?
Mara – Archies and Angels are just general names for David’s fans – there is nothing to join. I do think those who call themselves Angels should try to act in a manner befitting that name, i.e. learn from David and treat everyone with kindness and respect, including nasty commenters. Angels take the high road. The name ArchAngels was coined by a particular fan group, I believe archuletafans.com – I joined once and commented in their Arch Angels Introduce Yourself section and I’ve spent some time read and posting there. Then there are some other fansites – like Snarky Archies (which David knows the name of) and I hang out most there and consider myself a Snarky Archie. FansofDavid also has a solid fan group (and David know their name Fans of David) and they sometimes put FOD after their name and wear Fans of David buttons. But we are all Archies, and all Angels too if we live up to that name too.
Dear Violet,
Thanks for your info. So I can consider myself as Archies or ArchAngels, FOD or other fan groups. All are very nice and supportive each other. I’m so happy and gratefull to know David. I don’t know for some reason he is so contagious (in a good way). When I see him on video and he smiles, I smile unconsciously and after that I feel good and happy. I believe it’s not just me right????
The smile – yeah!! Check out these fan videos about the smiles

It’s great seeing the pictures and videos from the signings. :)
A rare celebrity who doesn’t play image games to show off like the others as in Bieber or the Jonas Brothers. He truly appreciates his fans, remains true to himself and treats all of his fans like they are part of his family. So respectful and gets that in return. David and his book is totally Archudorable.
I heard that the manager of the bookstore at B&N in NJ said David broke the record of Ozzy Osbourne, selling over 1500 books at the book signing. Have you seen some pictures of people lining up? Lots of adults… David has something no one has and he earned respect from fans of all ages.
