Rihanna is opening up about her music, life, and loves of her past and present in the July issue of ELLE magazine.
The 22-year-old pop star graces the glossy’s cover — sadly, the usually picture perfect star has been photoshopped into a freakishly gaunt version of herself.
In the cover story, Rihanna muses about portraying strength in the bold images that accompanied her latest platinum-selling album, Rated R. “I wanted pictures that represented strength and fearlessness but still femininity—a strong woman who can be vulnerable,” she told the magazine. “Every woman is made up of vulnerability and strength.”
Part of that strength helped her move on from her famous ex, fellow pop star Chris Brown, even though she admits she was “confused” in the aftermath of their infamous fight. “A year ago, I was very confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”
But now is a different story. With a new man in her life, LA Dodgers player Matt Kemp, RiRi says she’s “so happy.” “I have a boyfriend… I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy,” she gushed. “I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

Who are you to judge? Obviously if you listened to your “idols” album the whole thing is about Chris, so #FAIL. He did not have a history before this incident which tells me that at 19 he NOR she had control of their emotions. I believe she caught him cheating and was putting hands on him before and during their relationship. She was wrong for not admitting to the wrong she has done. And before you run with that statement, NO ONE deserves to be hurt physically by the ones they claim to love, male or female. She did and said what her people told her to do to keep her career. PERIOD> They were “equally dangerous to one another” She did say that, right? I have plenty of self respect and forgiveness in my heart for everyone, do you? If he was known to abuse women and didn’t get help then I would have my doubts that he wants to change. But Chris took responsibility, didn’t mention the incident out of respect for THEIR relationship, completed the proper classes, and so on. Looks like he is being a man of God for taking responsibility and admitting his mistake. Before she even did the interview she could have told them no questions about the incident, but she never does. I wonder why…. I’ll be looking down at you as you fall…. now JUMP!

Either if she says no comment people will continue to talk about it because it was a total condradiction of his clean cut image, there was a picture of Rihanna after the incident, and Chris will be a convicted felon for the rest of his life. So the statement that if they don’t talk about it then it will die down…that’s wishful thinking.
