Several sold-out tour dates, a book tour and multiple during-production tweets still cannot satisfy David Archuleta fans’ thirst for a brand new album but it looks like that wait is just about over.
Jive Records, Archie’s recording home, released some behind the scenes photos of David as he prepped to shoot the photos that will serve as the album’s artwork for his sophomore album. The season 7 American Idol star can be seen getting his hair done, posing in front of a white back-drop, and playing around throwing darts at balloons.
His record label kept the good news coming for David’s fans. It was revealed that his new single will be released exclusively on his official website July 13th followed by a release to iTunes July 20th.
The countdown starts!
omg – it’s almost here… a new david song – cannot wait to hear it. david is imo the best voice in pop music right now. no autotune or spectacle needed from him to wow you, just him, and a mic. i feel a hit is on the way.
Wow, I’m both curious and nervous about this 3rd album cover….liked the 1st but not so much the Christmas cover. But soo excited for the single, it’ll be great!

I’m so excited & I just can’t hide it!! lol We’ve waited so long, it seems for this next SINGLE from David and it’s just so thrilling to know the release is right around the corner. David has been working so hard for us and I hope he knows how much we appreciate the efforts he’s put into this album for his fans. He’s taken us on a journey so far that I wouldn’t have missed for the world…simply the best of the best! Thanks, David, from the bottom of my heart!

I’ve read it twice and appreciate everything you’ve shared with us. It’s written in a way that one can pick it up & open any chosen page on a given day & truly be inspired! Is there anything you can’t do, young man?! Shine on, David!
New David music yay!
Yeah!!!! the release date of David’s new single is finally here!!! And a photoshoot of David for the album — well that is MAJOR news! I am so happy ~ and can’t wait to hear David’s song. We sure had a lot of fun on Twitter yesterday with JIVE tweeting pics from the soon to be epic photoshoot with David’s hair (ha ha)!!! and then the announcement of the release date for the single. Bring it on!!!! David Archuleta is just an amazing singer/songwriter — and now an author too!
It’s always fun to follow a young talented singer like David shaping up his musical direction and career, and he still has a lot to offer. It’s a mystery how he remains unaffected by the entertainment business when so many entertainers try to sell sex to get attention. Before the single release, he will perform at ‘A Capitol, the Fourth of July Celebration’ in DC to be broadcast live on PBS. Also, he will perform a Spanish song dedicated to Selena, at a Latino music awards show on July 11th.

Me and my sisters can’t wait. We love David’s music and he’s hot.
I have about wore out his 1st album and Christmas album also. He has a sound that is his own. I hear so many of today’s “artists” perform singing the same word 70 million times and not even always in tune and don’t get it. I sometimes wonder if the young have lost their hearing. Thus it is so wonderful to hear a voice that is always on key and singing words he cares about. I also am loving how much he is enjoying all this-his smile lights up the sky. I hope he can continue in the same vein for years and years and if he takes a few years out for a mission we will miss him but oh what songs he will be able to write from that experience. This young man has his priorities in line and I will always trust the Archulator.
I have enjoyed this journey along with so many lovely “fanatic fans” that I continue to change the path of life I was on. David has an enlightening spirit. You can’t help but smile and do the right thing in your daily lives or the worry of dissapointing him will “eat-you-up”! I hope his spirit spreads to all the World!
Oh…BTW, he has an exceptional, tone perfect vocal range that is awe inspiring!

This might be the same photographer as David’s first album. First album shoot was also in Brooklyn and by a guy who wore a hat. I am excited! I hope a bunch of the shoot was at Coney Island. I’d really like a photo with the Parachute drop because I’m hoping David’s recently performed song Parachutes and Airplanes will be on the album too :) I love PANDA

David’s music has truly been a blessing in my life. He is the best singer I have heard since Marvin Gaye. He is also humble and strong in his faith. I will be a fan of this young man for life…Also, love his book, Chords of Strength.
I am anxiously awaiting the release of his new single. I am having David Archuleta withdrawals. I kept on hearing different times about the release of his single and getting excited only to be let down that it hadn’t come out. So looking forward. I am a Archie fanatic. So much anticipating what is in store in the future for David. WOOOOHOOOO!!!!
