The BET Awards isn’t the only one celebrating a 10 year anniversary. Singer/songwriter Alicia Keys is as well.
During her BET Awards performance tonight (June 27), the singer celebrated 10 years in the music industry by going through a medley of hits. Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart, If I Ain’t Got You and Unthinkable were all on the menu for the special performance. The pregnant star was also joined by gospel music great Kim Burrell for a mini praise breakdown.
Fans got their first taste of A.K. (technically 9 years ago) when she released her No.1 single, Fallin’.
Alicia, who got pregnant by a man while he was still married brought out a gospel singer to perform with her? She’s really reaching.
I take some people think that because you may make a mistake you should not include God in your life while performing. Oh well, I feel really sorry for the ones who think Alicia did not do the right thing by singing with a gospel singer. Their performance was great. He who is without sin, cast the first stone.
Alicia: Why is everyone giving her such a hard time, when they sit around silently while Puff runs around repeatedly on his baby-mamma, first with Jennifer Lopez, then with others. Lil Wayne can have a littany of women pregnant. Jada Pinkett walked off with another woman’s man — Will, and they are heralded as one of the greatest couples of all time. Let’s not mention the Jackson brothers who each share two children with the same woman. Nothing said, but people keep dogging this woman. No one really knows the details of her relationship with Swiss except the people who are intimately involved — the two of them. People do this to Alicia because she is so open and nice. If people would have tried this with Jada she would have cussed their behinds out. Nothing much was said openly about her. I pray that Alicia does marry and give her child his father’s name, and all that goes with it. I also pray that she has a good life. May God bless her and her beautiful spirit.
It’s hard to believe she has already been around for ten years! She just keeps getting better, she is so very talented and continues to put out great music. Her performance was great.
