Sara Bareilles won’t write you a love song just because you ask her to. She won’t accept your unsolicited advice either.

In her new single, “King of Anything,” Bareilles lets loose a world of snazzy message t-shirt worthy barbs for those chatty know-it-alls who can’t seem to keep their yaps out of her business. “Who cares if you disagree/You are not me/Who made you king of anything?” she sings on the snappy pop ditty’s chorus.

The video for “King of Anything” was recently released, and it’s just as appealing as the song. You can never go wrong with musical spoons and forks or a random horn player following you around on a bus or in a garden.

“King of Anything” is the first single from Sara’s upcoming album, Kaleidoscope Heart, due out September 7.
