David Archuleta wants to tell you a little something about love.
In his new single, titled Something ‘Bout Love, the American Idol standout uses a pulsating beat, radio ready synths and his amazingly sweet voice to break down the joys and sometimes troubles of the big L word.
The tune is a step into a more commercial arena for Archie but don’t let that deter you from listening. Although the beat of the song will have you moving, the lyrics give the song substance–substance that is sorely missing from most songs in heavy rotation on the radio currently.

This is a great song from David, something new and different and definitely something to move and sing along with. Love the lyrics and as always David’s vocals are amazing! Am really loving the song and hope it’s a huge hit for David!

David does not use Autotune! Excited to get music that has a different vibe! Loved his debut album and this is a great start for the next album! Great concert song anf you knoe he will have a couple great love song ballads on there!
ok we all love him a lot.. but the prob is if u listen carefully to the bridge near the ending of the song.. its a lil obvious it was autotuned.. anybody could figure tht out..

Archuleta is known for mature singing techniques in phrasings, runs, riffs etc despite his young age. But in this song, he mostly sang straight without vocal gymnastics showing off his gorgeous tone of voice although in some part (night, life), his R&B sound shows well too. Vocally, he can kick any adult singers’ butt. You made a good point that the song has an encouraging message in lyrics (not just baby baby baby oh baby).
I agree. This song has a strong and pure substance. And I LOVE LOVE this song!! Phenomenal vocals from David as always. The lyrics are pretty awesome!! Can’t stop listening to it! David rocks! :D

“Something Bout Love” is very, very catchy dancing music, but the lyrics are clever and more mature with a message which is the David Archuleta rademark.

This should get alot of radio play.Although somewhat generic ,you can’t deny it’s catchy.He does have a great vocal range.

Love the song – Love David- Can’t wait to the rest of the CD. His lyrics are straight from the heart and meaningful. I hope the song gets alot of radio play. The dancing frenzy should be interesting during his much anticipated tour. Going back for another listen.
