Usher learned something important when his single “OMG” with Will.i.am went to No. 1: fans really like him doing dance club music.
He’s taking that knowledge and applying it to a brand new track called “DJ Got Us Falling In Love Again” from his upcoming EP entitled Versus.
The Max Martin-produced club workout, which features Latin rapper Pitbull, finds Ush stripping away the stress of the work week and dancing the night away with a sexy lady at the club. Martin takes full advantage of the leverage in the dance-pop arena Usher gained with “OMG” and push it to a new level with the track’s swirling synths and pulsating beats.
“DJ…” is one of eight new tracks on Versus, out August 24. The EP will be available as a stand-alone body of work or tacked on to a newly revamped deluxe version of his album Raymond V. Raymond; this approach is much like Lady Gaga‘s The Fame Monster release.
