Rico Love and Chris Brown - twitvid
There was a party going on in an Los Angeles recording studio early yesterday morning (July 8) when hit-making songwriter Rico Love found himself surrounded by a bevy of today’s R&B/pop elite like Chris Brown, Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole, and Lloyd.
Love, the man behind Kelly Rowland‘s “Commander” and Usher‘s “There Goes My Baby,” teased fans with a short video from the recording session-turned-bash, but he told NeonLimelight.com the session represented so much more.
“It felt good to have that unity,” Love told us in a phone interview. But how did everyone land in one studio? Turns out nothing was planned, it was all luck.
“I was working in the studio with Lloyd and [producers] The Runners. Chris Brown was across the hall. Keri Hilson was in another room. [Producer] Jim Jonsin was in another room. And Keyshia Cole came by. She was listening to music…Chris started playing some music. It was crazy. So, I just invited everyone to my room and we just started playing music.”
Though lots of fun was had, Love managed to solidify time to work with some of the artists who dropped by on their upcoming projects.
See the video from the studio below and check back at NeonLimelight.com for more from our interview with Rico Love where he discussed Chris Brown’s evolution as a songwriter, working with Kelly Rowland, Beyonce, and Michelle Williams, and his excitement over Fantasia‘s new album.
