After more than a year of dating and a 7-month long engagement, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have finally tied the knot.
The country superstar and her hockey playing better half made things official in a Georgia ceremony yesterday (July 10) in front of more than 200 guests. Those guests included her American Idol family Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul reports RadarOnline.
The couple, who signed their names “Mike and Carrie Fisher,” said to People.com in a statement: “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!”
The pair will leave for their honeymoon Sunday (July 11) morning. The details of the getaway will be a surprise to Carrie since her new husband made the arrangements. “I know it will be warm, that’s about it,” US Weekly quoted the star as saying.
