Ne-Yo - Def Jam
Ne-Yo can’t save the world, but his hard-drinking, suit-wearing alter-ego, Jerome, can.
In the eight-minute long video for “Beautiful Monster,” one of the two lead singles from his new album, Libra Scale, the singer/songwriter jumps right into the thick of the story that will tie his entire forthcoming album together.
Jerome is a sharply dressed superhero; he’s the only one with enough power to defeat the wicked (and surely to most men, wicked hot) villain Diamond Eyes. But eliminating the sexy temptress isn’t exactly a task he’s willing to undertake, even if it means certain destruction of the world he knows. Jerome’s got a sweet spot in his heart for Diamond Eyes.
The story behind Jerome and Diamond Eyes’ twisted relationship and how he got his powers is explained in “Champagne Life,” Libra Scale‘s other lead single. More importantly, it explains how she became the omni-powerful being she is.
At the heart of the elaborate concept are two classically Ne-Yo music videos — both directed by Ne-Yo under his slightly ridiculous director name SkeetScorsese and Wayne Isham — filled with smooth Michael Jackson-styled dancing and enough pressed suits to make the Mens’ Warehouse go out of business.

Always a classy and talented artist but he still doesn’t have me sold for this new album but I still like him. He needs to be a little less MJ.
