Video: John Mayer Performs Goof-Free Concert On ‘Today Show’

John Mayer admits he “dun goofed” last year when he shot off his big mouth to Playboy Magazine in what would become an infamous interview and lead to his concerts being protested by women’s rights groups and African-American rights groups (as we witness firsthand at his concert in Washington D.C.).

But there was no room for goofing — just room for squares — when Mayer performed this morning (July 23) to a packed crowd at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City as part of the Today Show‘s summer concert series.

Giving fans a peek into his summer tour, the second for his current album, Battle Studies, Mayer performed new and old songs from his catalog including “Waiting On The World To Change,” “Half  Of My Heart,” and showed off his impressive guitar wailing on a cover of “Crossroads”
