Actually acting your age? That’s so overrated in today’s pop music. The Pretty Reckless‘ frontwoman, 17-year-old singer/actress Taylor Momsen, is known for her risque adult look, so it’s no surprise that the band continues to push the not-so-age-appropriate trend for their Light Me Up album cover.
An adorable blonde Taylor Momsen mini-me graces the cover artwork for the album, and in true Taylor fashion, the child isn’t being very child-like. She’s dressed in a bad ass leather rock star jacket and she’s seen with a lit lighter in her hand. It would all be pretty sick–in a good way– if it wasn’t pretty sick–in a bad way.
The Pretty Reckless’ Light Me Up will be released in the UK on August 30.

Thought the girl looked grim, but the cover’s concept was so cool…
Seriously, despite the immense amount of crap the world dishes out to Taylor, she is ridiculously awesome.
I actually LOVE the cover – it is absolutely perfect. It completely sums up Taylor Momsen completely – young, and doing things the world thinks she shouldn’t be. However, her music is brilliant. I love it. She could do anything, as long as she keeps up the quality of her music, it doesn’t matter. No one can honestly deny that she is doing a good job.
Love The Pretty Reckless…. the only thing I reckon they should improve is that she is the centre of the videos – I want the rest of the band to be way more involved. She is talented, but we all know that this isn’t a one-woman show, so those guys faces need to be shown more often.
