Kanye West in "Power"
It’s not a music video, it’s a moving painting. At least that’s what Kanye West says the video for his blazing quasi-comeback single, “Power,” is. And that painting is a work of fine art that should be marveled at for at least a few minutes. But you won’t get the opportunity.
Directed by artist Marco Brambilla, the historic art-inspired video for “Power” lasts a whopping 90 seconds. No. Seriously. 90 seconds. But the 90 seconds are packed with imagery building the story about a man who had all the power in the world and had it come crashing down.
Feel let down? (One search for ‘Kanye West’ on Twitter would reveal quite a few people do.) Blame Brambilla. In explaining how the video came about to MTV, who gave the clip its television premiere, Brambilla says he wasn’t interested in directing if it was going to be just a music video. He had no concern for the typical length of a video if he could get everything he wanted in.
“Power” leads Kanye’s as-yet-untitled album, due September 14.

VIDEO= POWERLESS! come on Kanye with a strong song like that this would be the perfect time to let your arrogance come out. Only a 90 second cheap lack luster painting like that he should def push his album back to like 2011!
