Jive Records found it appropriate to start your Tuesday morning off with a little David Archuleta news. Nothing wrong with that.
The record label has finally unveiled the official cover artwork for Archie’s sophomore album, The Other Side of Down, on David’s official website.
An unofficial version has been out for quite awhile, and while the final shot isn’t much different, the name block is bolder and in a more visible spot, and the title bar is thinner with the words going down the right side. See, slightly clever.
But we can’t help but notice Archie might be discovering what the other side of up is if he doesn’t stop tilting that chair back. Tsk, tsk!
The Other Side of Down is in stores October 5.

I just LOVE the cover being graced with David’s Happy Self!!! It is pure David, just like I know the album will be!!! Thank you Jive…and David, for picking such a Happy picture!!! I would imagine it was a hard choice since David his the most photogenic person alive!!!

Love the photo quality. The font is visible and the letters are going downward. Can they replace the cover of his Christmas album? The cover doesn’t reflect the content of the album.

I am so tempted by that fan edition. But I preordered the middle version (Deluxe CD/DVD) and donated enough to David Beyond Borders for a needy fan to get one too. Please consider donating too if you can afford to. It actually feels pretty good :) Love that art and I agree – much further up that wall and he would find down real fast, haha. I love David and I think this cover photo really captures his personality.

David love the new single “Something ’bout Love and wild about the Album Cover. And I agree with Musiclover the Christmas album needs a new cover..The songs on that album are exceptional. David is a photographer’s dream. What a handsome dude.
I absolutely adore the album cover, it is just so David! Shows his personality and with that smile, who can resist. Cannot wait for his new music, very excited to receive my special fan pk edition of the album (which I just had to pre order)! Gifting to others is a great idea too, I definitely will be gifting a few copies of David’s music. Something Bout Love is such a great single for David and to have a new album of David’s music, even better. Just love this guy.

I pre-ordered the fan edition. I thought it’s a pretty good deal with photos including his autograph, memory box, DVD, friendship bracelet, free downloading of Something Bout Love, and the entry of drawing for a HD camera. I have collected David stuff including concert T-shirt, Build-A-Bear, magazines, Chords of Strength(that got me in tears several times). I just think he is worth to spend the money for because he’s so precious like a hidden gem.
David is always thinking! He used his smarts to give us an album cover that reflects him. Fun, quirky, edgy, goofy, healthy, happy, handsome David. PERFECTION!
Can’t wait to hear the remaining songs he so desperately wants to share with us!
