Taylor Swift in "Mine"
Taylor Swift has a knack for crafting easy to sing along to love songs and getting together with directors to bring the songs to life in equally ooey-gooey music videos. She doesn’t stray too far from her usual script in “Mine,” the first single from her forthcoming third album, Speak Now.
The ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach gives life to another cute, if painfully predictable video wherein girl meets boy, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl grow into man and woman, man and woman get married. The only truly interesting part of the video, besides seeing Swifty dolled up as a beautiful blushing bride, is seeing Taylor as a mom. Make that less interesting and more weird.
Speak Now is in stores everywhere on October 25.
