Glee might have lost out on the big prize of the night (dang you, Modern Family!), but the cast still did it up big at the 62nd annual primetime Emmy Awards last night (August 29) by taking place in the show’s spectacular opening.
Host Jimmy Fallon joined some of the New Directions’ finest like Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Chris Colfer (Kurt), and Amber Riley (Mercedes) to form a hot new glee club in order to snatch up the prize money in a contest to help the kids get to the Emmys. On the way, they recruit Tina Fey, turn down Kate Gosselin, run into the legendary Betty White, who adds “dance coach” to her long list of talents, and get slushied by newly minted Emmy winner (!!!!!) Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester).
