With only a few more days of summer left, Kanye West thought it was important for his fans to have some new music to ride slow and roll (or “role,” let him tell it on Twitter, but like he always says, #ItsAProcess) down the windows in the car to. Enter “Devil In A New Dress,” the latest West-dubbed “G.O.O.D. Friday” release.

The Bink-produced track, about a hot chick with an evil streak (“I know I’m preaching to the congregation/We love Jesus/But you done learned a lot of Satan”), is  a silky eargasm recalling West’s pre-auto-tune days. Sonically, it could have easily found a home in the soulful grooves of West’s classic sophomore album, Late Registration. Lyrically, it’s everything you’d expect from the Grammy-winning superstar. Ego (“Hard to be humble when you stuntin’ on a jumbotron”), sense of humor (“I ordered the jerk/She said ‘you are what you eat’”), and complete awareness of self (“I thought I was the assh*le/I guess it’s rubbing off”).
