Silence broken!
Kanye West spent yesterday morning (September 4) on Twitter ranting about the media’s perception of him and finally tweeting talking openly about his post-Taylor Swift VMA hijacking hiatus. It’s a subject he hasn’t gone in detail about since it happened, but all of the card were on the table in his passionate, and sometimes misspelled, series of tweets.
“With the help of strong will, a lack of impathy, a lil alcohol and extremely distasteful & bad timing … I became George Bush over night,” Ye said, admitting the treatment he suffered after his VMA tirade was his karma for calling out the former president on live television.
He then listed the repercussions of his actions. “How deep is the scar… I bled hard.. cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world [Lady Gaga] … closed the doors of my clothing office. Had to let employees go… for the first time I felt the impact of my brash actions … I felt the recession from an ownership side. People booed when I would go to concerts and the performer mentioned my name.”
Ye, who disappeared from the spotlight after announcing his plans to do so on Jay Leno‘s now defunct show last September, insists he did what he did at the VMAs with good intentions, but realized he was out of line. “I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help,” he said. “Beyonce didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.”
Even though some in the media still villainize him, Kanye says he’s a new person and “ready to get out of my own way…the ego is overdone,” and he finished his rant with the apology everyone wanted to see: “I’m sorry Taylor.”
Kanye is returning to the MTV Video Music Awards to perform on September 12.

desperate attempt at trying to convince people to by his FLOP new singles….
Too bad it wasn’t real blood.
It’s about time he owned up to it, although he’s obviously doing this to promote his career and make money, not out of regret for what he did, but regrets the repercussions of his lame display. It wasn’t the first time he threw a hissy fit (like a little girl!) for not getting his way, he acted the fool several times before this last ridiculous rant on behalf of Beyonce, she was a class act when she gave Taylor her time to “shine”.
Kanye your a mommies boy! It’s understandable to be upset over the death of your mom, but your just ridiculous! I used to like his music, but his wining voice and the way he talks reminds me of a 3 yr old….He’s so annoying!!
