Exclusive First Listen: Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins Find, Tiffany Dunn, Wants You To “Love Me Long Time”

Tiffany Dunn - Warwick Saint

As far as endorsements go, Tiffany Dunn probably has the best. In her corner, the 22-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona has hitmaking producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, the man responsible for hit records by Brandy, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears — and that’s only a teeny tiny sample.

To her own credit, Dunn is a singing, dancing, choreographing dynamo whose goal is the change “showmanship” to “showWOMANship.” She doesn’t want to be your typical pop star swinging her blonde locks  and looking cute and prissy around the stage while singing. She wants to go hard and put on a full show like her idols Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson.

Signed to Epic Records through Jerkins’ Darkchild imprint, Dunn is getting ready to accomplish her goal with the release of her debut album, slated for early 2011. NeonLimelight.com is the first to bring you her new song, “Love Me Long Time.”

The island-tinged club-banger is indicative of the sound on the rest of her full-length debut. Dunn plans on mixing pop, hip-hop, reggae and ska with rhythmic, hard to forget beats, courtesy of Jerkins, to create a sound that will become her signature.

You can tell this would be amazing if she pulls it off live but this track presented here is too over produced for my tastes. Live? Hell yeah. Here? Canned and deep in some studio.

  19. BORA says:

WOW!!! enough said… a NEW STAR was borned..

  20. Lauren says:

Sounds great. Her album will be huge! She can sing, dance, play instruments, does it all. I think we have a female Justin Timberlake on our hands. Minus the whole boy-band thing, Tiff doesn’t need a band, she does it all herself! Check out her cover of One Republic’s Secrets if you think otherwise.
