Video: Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon Perform Hilarious ‘History Of Rap’ Medley

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake

Everyone wants to see Justin Timberlake doing music again. Well, last night while appearing on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his new movie, The Social Network, the pop star turned actor got back to music — sort of.

Timberlake and Fallon joined forces with The Roots to give the audience a quick rap history lesson (because they are the authority when it comes to rap). The result was a hilarious trip through some of hip-hop’s biggest chart-toppers and early favorites.

The duo kicked off their medley with The Sugarhill Gang‘s “Rapper’s Delight,” before going into songs like “The Humpty Dance” (Digital Underground), “Juicy” (Notorious BIG), “My Name Is” (Eminem), “Crank That” (Soulja Boy), and ended things with “Empire State of Mind” (Jay-Z).
