
With two chart-toppers already, it’s on to single number three for Katy Perry‘s Teenage Dream. Her next single she’s hoping to light a spark on the charts is the Stargate-produced “Firework.”
For a song about letting your inner awesomeness shoot across, the single’s cover art is quite…blah. Perry making the “aah” face (“Make ‘em go aah aah aah” is a part of the song’s hook) and the spark on the K are appropriate, but where’s the color? Where’s the vibrant being she sings about?
Perry says “Firework” was inspired by a line in the novel On The Road by Jack Kerouac, which she got from her husband-to-be, Russell Brand. See Katy explain the inspiration behind the single below:
