Glee, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood Score Golden Globe Nominations

The nominations for the 68th annual Golden Globes were announced today, and they’re quite Glee-ful.

The hit Fox comedy scored five nominations in total. Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) and Matthew Morrison (Will Schuester) are up for Best Actress and Actor in a Television Series – Comedy, while Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) and Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) take Best Supporting Actor and Actress noms. The series as a whole is up for Best Television Series – Comedy against some stiff competition like Modern Family and 30 Rock.

The Best Original Song category — this award goes to the writers and composers — finds Christina Aguilera‘s Burlesque ballad, “Bound To You,” c0-written by Sia, going against Carrie Underwood‘s Narnia theme song, “There’s A Place For Us.”
