Kid Cudi: Man On The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager: Kid Cudi was still one strange dude on his sophomore set, but he polished a lot of the rough edges he had on his debut. He turned up his penchant for rock & roll, and even dabbled in trance. It all made for a potluck of sounds you have to hear to believe.
Arcade Fire – The Suburbs: Their nomination for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards isn’t a fluke. This band, fronted by a quirky husband/wife team, put together an album so good, it’s damn near classic.
Cee-Lo Green – The Lady Killer: Old school soul meets new school r&b with a punch of pop on Cee-Lo’s latest album. There’s a reason it’s called “The Lady Killer.” Cee-Lo’s smooth vocals mixed with the funky beats through the set is enough to seduce the listener into doing many things–potentially sexy things.
