There’s no more ‘Sonny With A Chance’ for Demi Lovato.

The actress/singer is leaving the Disney Channel sitcom to focus more on her music career, People.com reports.

“It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music,” the 18-year-old star said. “It’s kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn’t be a better time for me to move on.”

Demi, who recently completed a stint at a rehab facility undergoing treatment for eating disorders and cutting, says her decision to leave the show is partly due to her recovery. “I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery. Being in front of a camera would make me nervous.”

Disney will continue the show under its new name, So Random!, and respects Demi decision to leave.

Demi has already begun work on her forthcoming third album. She’s said the set will be “mature, yet clean,” have a more R&B sound, and she’s eying collaborations with Drake and Trey Songz.
