Lady Gaga‘s busy on the promo trail for her new album, Born This Way, out May 23, but not too busy that she can’t take a moment to let her little monsters into her often-crazy world with the latest episode of Gagavision.
In Gagavision 43, Gaga talks shedding her insecurities to write her upcoming record. “The biggest challenge in writing ‘Born This Way’ is I had to become confident and secure in myself,” she says. “I spent two years delving deep into my wounds.”
She also talks about the leak of “Judas” snippets and why she let the entire song come out early. “I got an email, ‘Eek! ‘Judas’ is leaking. A slow death!’ Just put me out of my f*cking misery. Just put that sh*t out.”
If that wasn’t enough to make this Gagavision epic, Gaga gives another interview — in a bathtub! — about the writing process of the album and calls the beginning stage “15 minutes of vomiting my creative ideas.” “The idea is to honor your vomit.” Wise words.
