Drake Says “Dreams Money Can Buy” Line Isn’t Jay-Z Diss

Drake raised a few eyebrows this morning (May 20) with a line in his newly released song, “Dreams Money Can Buy.”

“My favorite rappers either lost it or they ain’t alive,” he raps in the second verse of the song, rumored to be the intro to his new album, Take Care.

Fans quickly began assuming Drizzy was taking a jab at his “Light Up” collaboration partner Jay-Z, whom he’s regarded as a mentor and one of his favorite rappers.

As the gum-flapping about whether or not Drake just said Jay’s lost his mojo spread across the blogosphere, Drake took to Twitter to kill the noise before it got any louder.

“Hov diss? Hov of all people has not lost it…that’s god body flow,” he wrote.

And there you have it. Potential beef squashed in 140 characters or less.
