Adele “Bored Stiff” But “On The Mend” After Canceling Tour

Adele - Out Magazine

Adele can’t wait to get back out on the road, because sitting at home recovering from a tour-ending bout of laryngitis has got her feeling “bored stiff.”

The British soul songstress, who was left “devastated” after having to cancel part of her North American tour due to the illness, updated fans on her healing progress in a post on her official website today (June 21).

“I can’t wait to be able to sing again, I’m bored stiff,” she wrote. “I’ve had a check up and I’m on the mend, I still need to take it easy and rest but things are looking up.”

She’s quit smoking in an effort to heal her voice and promises, “I will do everything I can to make sure nothing like this happens again!”

In the meantime, Adele is filling her time off by “watching box sets and sorting things out into neat piles and resting.” “I’ve become obsessed with Beyonce‘s ‘I Am Sasha Fierce‘ tour DVD and ’30 Rock’, and I’ve also started uploading over 1000 CDs to my iTunes,” she wrote.

She’s also working feverishly on rescheduling all of the canceled dates, and will announce them when rescheduling is complete.
