American Idol season 10 is producing its fair share of stars as another lands a record deal.
Haley Reinhart, known for her feisty, daring song choices and distinctive growl during her time on Idol, has scored a recording contract with Interscope Records/19 Recordings. The news broke via a source to LA Times music blog, Pop & Hiss.
During her time on American Idol, Haley earned as much praise as she did flack from the judges because of her sometimes all-over-the-place songs choices. She was scolded for her performances of songs by Lady GaGa and Michael Jackson but highly praised for her rocking performance of Led Zeppelin’s What Is And What Should Never Be. She ended up placing third in the competition.
Haley joins another season 10 diva at Interscope Records/19 Recordings: Pia Toscano. The former contestant, who was shockingly voted off the popular talent search competition show, was signed shortly after her departure from the show. She released her first single, This Time, earlier this month.
Along with Pia, Interscope is the home of stars like Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Lady GaGa.
Haley, and the other top 10 contestants, are currently out on the American Idols Live! tour.
