When Beyoncé took time off before releasing her new album, 4, she spent it traveling the world and doing new things. But one of those new things was not, in her own words, being a groupie for her rap superstar husband, Jay-Z. “I’ve always been a Jay-Z groupie,” the pop diva said during her interview on The View today (July 28). Hilarious and talented, she is!
Along with chatting about her time off, what inspired her new album, being so nervous during her meeting with Clint Eastwood for the A Star Is Born remake, and turning 30, Bey completely slayed the stage with performances of her new single, “Best Thing I Never Had,” and the gorgeous ballad “1+1.”
